Coaches and riders will wear masks and practice social distancing guidelines when not riding (masks are not required while riding). Coaches will carry extra masks and hand sanitizer. All riders, parents/guardians and spectators are expected to comply with COVID regulations for each race location. If you (or someone you have been in close contact with) experiences COVID symptoms or was diagnosed with COVID, do not attend practices and races for 10 to 14 days.
Although the League continues to monitor the COVID situation, we are confident Idaho will be hosting a full race series this fall! In the event capacity restrictions become a concern or mandate at any of the race venues, the League has developed several contingency plans for the race weekend format.
The League anticipates it will announce which race format will be used by June 1, 2021. We will be updating our website frequently as new information is shared. In the meantime, here are the most recent official statements from the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and the Idaho Interscholastic Cycling League (IICL):
The safety of our student athletes is always our first priority and guides every decision we make as a team. In addition to the guidance we receive from NICA and IICL, the team will comply with all mandates and decisions from the Governor, the City of Boise, and the Boise School District.
